Sandler honoured for years of JCA leadership

Former JCA president Ian Sandler has been appointed as a Life Governor, recognising his many years of leadership and longstanding contribution to the NSW and ACT Jewish community.

Sandler stepped down as JCA president in August, having led the organisation through a period of significant change and challenge, including the most substantial governance transformation in JCA’s history.

He also made a significant contribution as a member of JCA’s Investment Committee for many years, as a board member of Wolper Jewish Hospital and as president of Maccabi Golf Australia prior to his presidency at JCA.

As a Life Governor, Sandler joins a distinguished group of communal leaders who provide JCA with trusted strategic counsel and insight on key issues affecting the community.

The Life Governors meet quarterly with JCA leadership to discuss key communal issues, emerging challenges and opportunities, and the future needs of the NSW and ACT Jewish community.
