Australia Post has acquired Rendr, a last-mile delivery orchestration platform founded by Mount Scopus Memorial College alumni Greg Leibowitz and James Fisher, in a move that will expand same-day delivery coverage to almost 90 per cent of the Australian population.

Founded in 2020, Rendr was built to modernise last-mile delivery for Australian retailers, giving businesses the technology and operational capabilities to offer on-demand delivery, including same-day and three-hour delivery.

The platform intelligently connects merchants with the most suitable delivery partners in real time, based on factors such as location, speed, service requirements and delivery windows.

Since launch, Rendr has been adopted by some of Australia and New Zealand’s most recognised retail brands, including Chemist Warehouse, Global Retail Brands, Hairhouse and Jaycar Electronics.

Leibowitz said the platform was built to fundamentally reimagine how retailers engage with last-mile logistics through technology.
