THE SHE for CSG event, “An Evening with Erin Molan,” held on February 19 at St Kilda Town Hall, drew a sell-out crowd of 500 community members.

The event aimed to raise awareness and support for CSG Victoria while also empowering and inspiring women in the lead-up to International Women’s Day.

The evening, moderated by Rachel Flitman, began with a welcome from Justin Kagan, CEO of CSG Victoria.

He reflected on the events of October 7, 2023, a day that has forever reshaped the CSG and created a security environment never before experienced by Jewish communities not only in Melbourne, but around the world.

Before handing over to the evening’s speakers, Kagan provided an overview of SHE for CSG, an integral arm of CSG Victoria.

He outlined its primary purposes: raising awareness and support for CSG Victoria, empowering women within the community, raising funds, and engaging potential future volunteers.

The highlight of the evening was the discussion with Australian broadcaster and journalist Erin Molan, who captivated the audience with her honesty, openness, and inspiring words.

She shared stories from her early life and career path, highlighting her advocacy and its impact, as well as the media and public perception of her work.

Molan’s courage, strong support for Israel and the personal costs of her advocacy were evident throughout the discussion.

The evening concluded with a heartfelt thank you from CSG board member Amanda Smorgon.

Earlier that day Molan spoke at Bialik College before a crowd of around 400 in conversation with ABC Radio national manager Dina Rosendorff.

Molan recently premiered a show on X entitled 69X Minutes.

As host, her first episode expressed outrage at the murder of Israeli hostages Shiri Bibas and her children Ariel and Kfir by their captors in Gaza.
