NICOLE Katz and Sharon Aaron are two local Jewish mums who share a love for fashion, community and a passion for the environment.

This mutual love saw them develop Fashion Forward, a social enterprise with a conscience – to find new homes for pre-loved designer wear, with 100 per cent of proceeds going to Jewish House.

Since its inception in 2020, Katz and Aaron have saved tons of clothing items from landfill and raised over $80,000 to provide Jewish House crisis care to many women and children.

It is a labour of love, and they have found Fashion Forward has become a comforting hub for women. Shopping in the studio is a fun, feel-good experience – where else can you shop, get incredible high-end labels at bargain-basement prices and support women in crisis at the same time? It is the ultimate guilt-free shopping experience.

By donating and shopping with Fashion Forward, clients are able to limit the amount of clothing that ends up in landfill, and give pre-loved items a second life – these are small steps towards creating a better future.

Jewish House supports women and children by providing crisis, temporary, and longer-term accommodation; a 24/7 crisis call line that connects people with professionals who offer urgent assistance; in-house psychologists and counsellors to those who would otherwise be unable to access professional help; life skills, resilience building and parenting education workshops for the local community; and advocacy support from their social services staff.

Fashion Forward is about women helping women, through fashion and by supporting a worthy cause.
