AFTER a few hiccups, Japan-based photographer Jono David recently embarked on a project to take pictures of key Jewish cites in Australia.
David, who worked in conjunction with community security authorities, documented Jewish sites in Sydney, Canberra, Launceston, Hobart, Adelaide, Melbourne and Ballarat.
The journey was part of a project, which he has been slowly working on over two decades, to create a huge Jewish photo-library. It currently contains more than 35,000 photos from communities across the world.
David is pictured at work in Melbourne’s Brighton Cemetery.
