Spirited awards for Maccabi-AJAX netballers

WITH the last games of the year due to be played this weekend, Maccabi-AJAX Netball Club presented its 2021 Spirit of Netball Awards last week to 20 recipients, from U11s to U17s, plus medallions to its PUP Program participants.

A coaches’ leadership award was also presented to Jade Liberman.

The awards were issued to players who have shown exemplary commitment and teamwork, and demonstrated fair play.

U15 Spirit of Netball award recipient Eden Voskoboynik (right) with her coach Mika Glance.The club’s co-president Natalie Dodge said, “The recipients embody the spirit of what it means to be part of our club, sport and community,” and she thanked all players, parents, coaches, volunteers and committee members, for their commitment, time and energy.

In addition to receiving an U15 Division 1 award, Mia Cashmore gained selection to play in the U15 Caulfield and District Netball Association representative team in 2022 – an outstanding achievement.

Maccabi Spirit of Netball award recipients were: (U11) Abigail Terry, Rachel Naphtali, Summer Klinger, Madison Smith, Olivia Gasper, Amelie Kohn, Ashley Butbul; (U13) Shyla Faber, Sydney Smith, Ashley Podlubny, Halle Krasnostein, Ally Southwick, Lara Dodge; (U15) Noa Regev, Eden Voskoboynik, Romy Frey, Mia Cashmore, Jasmine Filer; (U17) Daniela Jona, Cassidy Mosfowitz.
