Summit UIA: reconnecting with our homeland
Everything you need to know about Summit UIA, which kicks off tonight.
This evening, the UIA will be launching its very first online and live symposium featuring some of Israel’s finest personalities, speakers and icons.
Replacing the traditional in-person event, Summit UIA will take place virtually over five nights until Thursday March 3.
Participants will be transported to our homeland through engaging discussions covering a range of topics in a series of UIA events like no other.
With our feet at home and our hearts in Israel, there is something for everyone in this diverse and unparalleled line up of speakers and topics, easily accessible with an all-access pass for $25.
Whether you login for one night or for all five evenings, the Summit UIA pass will give participants access to any or all of the five nights of events.
The line-up for the symposium includes Israeli Interior Minister Ayelet Shaked, actress Shira Haas, Olympian Linoy Ashram, basketball veteran Omri Casspi, author Daniel Gordis, and former director of Mossad Yossi Cohen.
Funds raised from Summit UIA will go towards UIA Australia’s continued support for aliyah, enabling Jews from around the world to return to our homeland.
The surge in global antisemitism, along with social and economic instability as a result of the recent global pandemic, has resulted in a rise in aliyah as thousands of Jews from around the world seek better futures in Israel.
With the help of our community’s generous donations, UIA assists new immigrants with the many challenges of rebuilding a life while at the same time realising their dream of making Israel “home”.
Last year, an incredible 28,000 people made Israel their home from all across the globe; an increase of 30 per cent on the previous year.
