Zac Wolfe is only six, but the Jewish Melburnian is already a national champion in his chosen sport of golf.

Wolfe won the U7 division title at last weekend’s 2022 Australian Junior Age Golf Championships at Royal Pines in the Gold Coast.

He shot rounds of 39 (+3), 33 (-3), and 37 (-1) to finish tied in first place, before claiming the win in a playoff against a competitor from Thailand.

Wolfe has a men’s golf handicap of 34 and is a member of Huntingdale Golf Club.

Recently, he qualified for the prestigious US Kids Golf World Championships, to be held at Pinehurst in North Carolina in August, in addition to the IMG World Championships at Torrey Pines, and the Champion of Champions tournament in Ireland next year, where he will be representing Australia.

His father, Jeremy, is seeking sponsorship to help fund Zac’s travel costs. He can be contacted at jwolfe.wandbinstruments@bigpond.com
