THE halls were alive with the laughter and joy of students as they were reunited with their friends and teachers after months of lockdown at Kesser Torah College (KTC) last week.

Other than the required extra hand washing, masks and sanitation requirements, the students still felt like school was normal and were thrilled to see their friends.

Jewish studies teacher Rabbi Yehuda Straiton said, “It is wonderful to have everybody back at school – to hear the sounds of these holy children filling the walls. This is what a school is all about.”

Extra learning support and teachers’ aides were on hand to assist teachers with the settling-in process, yet teachers reported their students swiftly settling in and getting back to business as usual within minutes of everyone unpacking their bags.
