After producing a regular weekly TV show on Channel 31 even through the trying times of Covid, The Shtick, Australia’s only Jewish TV show, is taking a well-deserved break.

The Shtick, which has been part of a Jewish TV presence since the channel’s inception 26 years ago, will be on hiatus until late September, by making a Rosh Hashanah Special upon return to a regular broadcast schedule.

In the meantime, Producer and Presenter Henry Greener is relocating to a new home, which, with his enormous assortment of Antiques and Collections of Camel Art, Egyptiana, Judaica and other funky paraphernalia will be fully occupied with such a massive task!

In the meantime, The Shtick will be showing Repeat Episodes every Sunday at 5.30pm, the new time-slot they have been designated by C31 since the beginning of Season 69.

Clocking up 737 shows since 2004 and thousands of videos on their YouTube Channel TheShtick TV and Facebook pages since 2006, Henry is excited to celebrate 18 years on return to full production, once he pivots into a new home studio.

Continued financial support to Oz Shalom TV In, the NFP that drives The Shtick is still required to keep the show on track, as Greener explained that “our community is in need of a Jewish media presence in these times of rising antisemitism and vilification against Israel from all sides of our divided society.”
