ONE of Israel’s top exports has been confirmed to perform at United Israel Appeal (UIA)’s major events in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth next month.

Idan Raichel will wow Australian audiences with his eclectic mix of Middle Eastern, Latin American and African influences as UIA celebrates 100 years of supporting the people of Israel.

“It is an absolute honour to be able to offer the community one of Israel’s leading cultural figures and musicians,” UIA CEO Yair Miller said.

“The UIA events will be the only chance the community has to hear Idan in Australia and we strongly encourage people to book ASAP to avoid missing out.”

As previously reported, the keynote speaker in Sydney and Melbourne will be Israeli President Reuven Rivlin.

Tzipi Livni will be the headline speaker at UIA WA’s gala dinner.

The UIA gala event, featuring Rivlin and Raichel, will take place in Sydney on Sunday, February 23 and Melbourne on Monday, February 24.
