Hope for a brighter future

It's a time of renewal and reflection. A time to connect with your faith, coming together with family and friends with hope for a brighter future.

I want to send my very best wishes for Rosh Hashanah to every member of Victoria’s Jewish community.

It’s a time of renewal and reflection. A time to connect with your faith, coming together with family and friends with hope for a brighter future.

I know events in the Middle East cast a long shadow over what should be a time of celebration.

And I want to acknowledge the deep grief many in our Jewish community are feeling.

But let me be clear: there is no place for discrimination and antisemitism in Victoria.

And in our Labor government, you will always have a friend to stand with you against harm and hate.

I know our Jewish community is strong, resilient and kind. And I want to say thank you for everything you do for our state.

May this new year bring blessings of health, happiness and prosperity to each of you, and your families.

From my family to yours, I wish you a very happy Rosh Hashanah.
