‘Weird Al’ Yankovic biopic has release date
A promotional poster for the ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic biopic has revealed the movie’s release date.
Weird: The Al Yankovic Story will premiere on November 4 for the Roku Channel, where it will stream for free. Playing the legendary parody songwriter will be Daniel Radcliffe, who is, of course, best known for playing Harry Potter, but has also taken many quirky, funny roles since.
Yankovic himself has gone on record saying he believes this role will be the one that Radcliffe is remembered for.
According to Billboard, Yankovic handpicked Radcliffe to star after he came across a clip of the Harry Potter star singing Tom Lehrer’s song The Elements on The Graham Norton Show.
Radcliffe was even fortunate enough to receive accordion lessons from Yankovic himself.
