Werner thrilled to be a Bronco

After her outstanding return to rugby league for the Tigers in the NSW Rugby League women’s competition, Australian bobsledder Ashleigh Werner (pictured) earned her first NRLW contract with the Broncos, and excitedly arrived in Brisbane earlier this month to commence six weeks of pre-season training, under coach Scott Prince. The powerhouse winger commented on Instagram last week, “I’m eternally grateful for this opportunity, and this team. [I’m] loving the learning journey, and everything that comes with it.” Werner is the first Jewish player to earn an NRLW contract.
