Chanukah sprinkles

Family fun time

Celebrations in the park

With a ninja obstacle course, jumping castle, bungee run and so much more, Cremorne Synagogue’s Chanukah Celebration in the Park is sure to be a big hit with all the kids – big and small. There’ll be a live band, doughnuts and Chanukah treats as well as pizza and falafel for an extra charge. Fun for the whole family.

Chanukah with a view

Dover Heights Shule is once again pulling out all the stops to present a massive party with the best view in Sydney. Featuring an outdoor concert and live performances, a dog show, ball pit and activity gym for the little ones, photo booth, plenty of arts and craft and so much more, every member of the family will have a ball – including the pets! There’ll be extra food to purchase too so you won’t go hungry.

Chanukah on the green

Chanukah on the green is shaping up to be the North Shore’s Jewish event of the year. With live music, entertainers and shows, community booths, amusement rides, a delicious BBQ including latkes and doughnuts, arts and crafts, and of course, a giant chanukiah lighting, everyone is welcome to enjoy the celebrations.

Celebrations at the Great

With plenty going on to celebrate the sixth night of Chanukah, The Great Synagogue presents a night that will be fun for the whole family. Starting from 6pm with a kids’ party and refreshments for adults, the community will then light the chanukiah together followed by Maariv and a festive kiddush. Bring everyone along!

The North Shore Synagogue presents a family-friendly Friday night service to celebrate Chanukah as a community. In addition to the service, the shule will be handing out delicious sufganiyot.

Raving by the sea

Chabad of Bondi will once again be catering to the kids with a silent disco by the sea. As well as the grand chanukiah lighting by Sydney’s famous Bondi Beach, there’ll be plenty on offer for the kids, including a petting zoo, face painting, free doughnuts and a bubble man. What could be better?

A carnival in Double Bay

Chanukah at the Bay is back for 2022 with carnival games, live music, shows and roving clowns, lighting of the giant chanukiah and as always, fireworks to light up the night sky. It’s free entry and fun for the whole family.

Chanukah with Chabad

Chabad of Sydney is putting on not one, but two Chanukah events for the community. First up is Chanukah at Rushcutters with latkes and doughnuts, entertainment, DIY chanukiah kits and plenty of games for the kids. Later that week, to celebrate Shabbat and the festival of lights, is Friday Night Live with a gourmet buffet dinner following the service and dreidel games.
