Leo Baeck Centre’s Chanukah Barbecue

The Leo Back centre will be having a first night celebration for Chanukah with a pescatarian barbecue. The Sunday sizzle celebration doubles as a community farewell to their beloved Rabbi Jonathan Keren-Black who is saying farewell to LBC. Attendees are encouraged to bring a salad, dessert or drinks to share.
Chabad Malvern’s Chanukah Carnival

Malvern Town Hall
Chabad Malvern will be hosting a Chanukah carnival and barbecue on the first night of Chanukah. The event will be a family affair and will include an exciting VR experience, jumping castles, a butterfly house, slot car racing, slurpees, as well as other yummy treats.
Tickets: $13 early bird, $18 after 9 December, children under 2 free.
Kedem’s Erev Chanukah Pot Luck Dinner

Kedem will be celebrating the first night of Chanukah in 2022 with a pot luck dinner for those in the community to come together to celebrate, live, learn and have fun.

Celebrate Chanukah at Malvern Central with an evening of entertainment. There will be fun for the kids including a magic show, balloon artists, face painting, and adults can enjoy the nosh with kosher food sampling from Woolworths, latkes and doughnuts. There will also be a grand menorah lighting.

Elwood Shule’s Communal Menorah Lighting and Dinner

Elwood Shule is once again hosting its communal menorah lighting event. The event will feature entertainment for the children, music on Acland Street as well as doughnuts and latkes. There will also be a dinner at Elwood Shule to give family, friends and congregants the opportunity to celebrate the holiday and rejoice in the festivities together.

Chanukah at Inflatable World

South Caulfield Hebrew Congregation, in conjunction with Chabad Sparks, will be celebrating the fourth night of Chanukah at Inflatable World in Oakleigh. This event includes fun for the whole family. Dinner and snacks are included in ticket prices, and there will be activities throughout the evening.
There will be designated sports area, toddler play area, a photo booth, as well as a grand menorah lighting.
Chabad of St Kilda’s week of Chanukah celebrations

Around the City of Port Phillip
Chabad of St Kilda will be hosting five Chanukah events this year around the City of Port Phillip, including public menorah lightings at St Kilda Town Hall (Dec 19), Alma Park playground (Dec 21), Elwood Beach (Dec 22), St Kilda Botanical Gardens playground (Dec 23), and outside Luna Park (Dec 25). Celebrations are free for all to participate, and will include music, latkes, doughnuts and more!
