Winning and grinning on Hot Seat

JEWISH comic book fan Joshua Marlow took home $50,000 on Channel Nine’s Millionaire Hot Seat on Tuesday night.

The Monash University science student said the last question, which asked what novel the film The King and I was based on, was the easiest one he faced.

“I knew it because of an episode of Family Guy that I probably watched a decade ago,” he said.

As the son of David Marlow, executive director of the Jewish Community Council of Victoria, Joshua said he will be a good Jewish boy and “invest the money in the bank”.

But he added, “I’m also going to try and go to ComicCon in San Diego next year. It attracts all the celebrities and I can find out all the new comic book and movie news.

“Also I won’t stand out for wearing a costume – everyone else will be in one too.”

Joshua, dressed as the Riddler from Batman, is pictured with host Eddie McGuire.

Millionaire Hot Seat airs nationally at 5.30pm on Channel Nine.
