Leave it to Wonder Woman herself to take down bullying.

Israeli actress Gal Gadot and her husband Jaron Varsano have invested in a new Israeli edtech start-up called Safe School Analytics. While the investment amount hasn’t been disclosed, it comes on the heels of the $2.5+ million seed round led by president and COO of Wix, Nir Zohar, who is also the co-founder of Safe Schools.

Bullying was once contained to the schoolyard, but now kids are trolling each other online, including posting embarrassing pictures, which is what Safe School Analytics hopes to combat.

Safe Schools is already working with hundreds of schools in Israel, aiming “to create an empowering environment for children and teenagers in schools, at home and on social networks”.

If it succeeds in Israel, the team plans to expand the start-up worldwide.

Gadot and Varsano said: “As parents of three young girls, we know how today’s digital era makes us all revisit the challenges our kids face, especially mental ones. We all bear the responsibility – as a society – to give them and their educators the proper tools to prosper.”
