After two years that have tested the community, JCA Women’s Division invites women from across Sydney to come together for a morning of reflection on Sunday, November 16.

JCA Women’s Brunch offers a rare opportunity to pause and focus inward. In the wake of the events of October 7, 2023, our community has shown resilience and unity. Yet, with that strength has come a deep emotional toll. This event is designed to help women prioritise their own wellbeing, recognising that self-care is not indulgent, it’s essential.

Just as we’re reminded on an aeroplane to “put on your own oxygen mask first”, this gathering encourages participants to take the time to care for themselves so they can continue to care for those around them.

The morning will be hosted by award-winning Sky News journalist and author Sharri Markson, who will guide the conversation and share her insights.

Joining Markson will be Lara Zilibowitz, an internationally recognised yoga teacher and art therapist, who will lead guests through a grounding session of self-connection and creativity. Zilibowitz’s practice is centred on the belief that movement, mindfulness and art can help calm the nervous system, unlock emotion and foster clarity.

There will be a guided meditation followed by a creative art process, with the session fully seated and requiring no prior experience in yoga or art.

“Over the past two years, our women have carried so much for their families, their friends, and for the community as a whole,” said acting JCA CEO Shari Lowe.

“This event is about giving them space to refill their own cups. It’s about reminding each of us that taking care of ourselves is how we continue to show up for others.”

JCA’s Women’s Division continues to play a vital role in fostering connection, philanthropy and leadership among women in the Jewish community and this special event embodies that spirit.

Places are limited and the event, taking place on the morning of November 16, is expected to sell out quickly. To book visit events.humanitix.com/jcawomen2025
