JNF Australia 2026 campaign
'125 years is a remarkable achievement, but our story is far from complete,' JNF Australia CEO Doron Lazarus.
JNF Australia is marking 125 years of the global Jewish National Fund-KKL organisation, with the anniversary coinciding with the launch of its 2026 Annual Campaign.
The organisation was established in 1901, following the vision of Theodor Herzl and the World Zionist Organisation. Since then it has been involved in Israeli land development, environmental programs, community building and infrastructure projects.
“Reaching 125 years is a remarkable achievement, but our story is far from complete,” JNF Australia CEO Doron Lazarus said.
“This milestone belongs not only to JNF, but to the generations of Australian supporters who have believed in the power of long-term investment in Israel’s future. Their commitment has helped transform vision into reality and continues to make a tangible difference in communities across the country.”
Lazarus said the organisation’s focus remained on the future.
“Yesterday is our legacy. Today is our responsibility. Tomorrow is our opportunity,” he said.
“Together, we can help shape Israel’s next chapter.”
The flagship project of the 2026 Annual Campaign is the Sha’ar HaNegev Community Eco Village, developed in partnership with frontline communities and local municipalities.
The centre is intended to provide a long-term recovery framework for individuals, families and communities affected by the events of October 7 and afterwards.
“In traumatic situations, all the pieces fall apart – individual, families, community. A person in this situation needs support and connections, a sense of belonging and safety. The new village will enable us to provide that,” Sha’ar HaNegev Community Centre CEO Nadav Peretz said.
Lazarus said the projects being funded now would have a lasting effect.
“The communities being rebuilt and strengthened now will become tomorrow’s centres of innovation, opportunity and civic life.”
