Another one joins the tribe

Sofia Richie has shared that her wedding is another step closer, revealing that she converted to Judaism ahead of marrying music executive Elliot Grainge. Alongside a picture of Richie signing what looks to be conversion documents, the daughter of Lionel and sister of Nicole wrote, “What a magical day. I want to thank cantor Nathan Lam for helping me along this journey of converting to Judaism. It has been one of the greatest experiences of my life. Today was that day” along with several Magen David emojis. Sofia announced her engagement almost a year ago and has been giving fans glimpses into her wedding planning process ever since.

Grainge got the seal of approval from Lionel pretty early on. “I’ve known him since he was 12, how about that? So, it was one of those things where I don’t have to go back and check out the kid, I know who he is,” the singer told Access in April last year. “They are so happy. And as a papa, and as a dad, that’s my little girl. So, she’s in good hands.”
