Celebrating beauty

From behind the counter at iconic Ruski’s Deli on Bondi Road to recruitment entrepreneur, Sydney-sider Michelle Walker (nee Katz) recently celebrated being named an ambassador for Curves & Curls International pageant, an amazing initiative that allows women of all shapes and sizes to express their beauty.

Walker believes that it’s a great way to inspire other women, including her daughters, to be proud of themselves and the best that they can.

“Having come to a stage in my life where I’m able to love myself unconditionally, I thought it was a great opportunity to share both my inner beauty and outer beauty with the world,” Walker said.

Entrants to the pageant were required to go through multiple interviews covering topics such as why they entered, how they contribute to the community and how they plan to use their ambassador status.

Walker, who is a career recruitment specialist, received the Best Interview title.

She was also titled Curves & Curls International brand ambassador for 2021.
