Being together as a community and sharing our heritage is incredibly important – many might say now, more than ever.
When Moriah College’s marketing manager Elyse Chiert reached out to her counterparts at other Jewish schools, she said the response and the spirit of collaboration was unanimously enthusiastic.
Chiert suggested that rather than create a combined school’s message for The AJN‘s Yom Ha’atzmaut supplement this year that included separate images from each school, the schools should all come together to take one photo, connecting all.
“It was truly an incredibly uplifting experience to have student representatives from Sydney’s Jewish day schools – Moriah College, Masada College, Emanuel School, Kesser Torah College, and Mount Sinai College – come together to celebrate Israel and embrace their community connection,” she said.
“We are all looking forward to more collaborative projects.”
