Centenarian Sam as active as ever
Sam Turley, 101, in his new mobile cart at Double Bay Bowling Club.
HE might be 101, but active Maccabi member Sam Turley is proving age is no barrier to continuing to enjoy playing lawn bowls at Double Bay Bowling Club each week.
In a new red mobile cart, he’s now able to move around easily between the greens, the clubhouse and the parking area.
Meanwhile, Maccabi bowlers Philip Joel and Dan Flanagan won the 2021 Double Bay men’s major pairs title.
And Maccabi’s Rod Silber was part of the winning team in the 2021 St Ives men’s major pairs. Mazel tov to all!
