HELPING THE HEROES

COA goes a step beyond

Volunteers deliver care packs to to ICU and ED doctors, nurses and staff to thank them for their dedication during pandemic.

EVERY year, COA Sydney sends Rosh Hashanah care packs out to vulnerable seniors.

This year, with the community under more stress because of COVID, COA went a step beyond and did contactless deliveries to ICU and ED doctors, nurses and staff, to thank them on behalf of the Jewish community for their dedication.

“Supporting our seniors is a community-wide effort and we wanted to show emergency services that we appreciate all they do to care for the older people we love so much” explained COA chief operations officer Sabina Kovadlo.

“That’s why we reached out with these gift baskets designed to bring some Rosh Hashanah cheer to those who are under the most pressure right now.”
