'Me too' unless you're a Jew

Dear ‘Feminists’ of the world – WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?!

Where are the impassioned speeches, the urgent calls to action, the flood of social media posts that should be shedding light on this plight?

For years, I have supported your events, campaigns, and charities! With your cute pink cupcakes and catchy ‘women support women’ slogans, I thought I was part of a real sisterhood. Oh, how wrong I was!

For 7 months, we have watched you sit back and stay silent as Israeli women have been violently attacked, slaughtered, and raped! You say nothing about a mother clenching onto her babies with fear in her eyes as she’s taken into Gaza. You said nothing as a young girl is dragged with bloodied pants onto a truck. ‘We need proof,’ you then explain. Then a 3.7-minute video is released showing five young girls, beaten and frightened, their attackers clearly stating what awaits them, and you still say NOTHING!

Where are the impassioned speeches, the urgent calls to action, the flood of social media posts that should be shedding light on this plight? Where are the hashtags that bring global attention to these atrocities? You claim to care about the safety of ‘all women, you claim to stand against violence, against rape, you claim that ‘we are all in this together!’ – So, l ask again … WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?

Your absence is not just a betrayal of Israeli women; of Jewish women, it is a betrayal of the very principles you profess to uphold. It reveals a hypocrisy that is deeply troubling. When you pick and choose which women deserve your support, you undermine the entire movement. Your silence speaks volumes, and it says that some lives are less valuable, less worthy of your outrage and your action.

The rose-coloured glasses are well and truly off! I see now that your sisterhood is conditional, your activism selective. It’s ‘me too’ unless you’re a Jew!
