First Jewish chaplain

Rabbi Rafi Kaiserblueth of Emanuel Synagogue in Sydney was last week appointed as the first Jewish chaplain to the Royal Australian Navy.

Rabbi Rafi Kaiserblueth of Emanuel Synagogue in Sydney was last week appointed as the first Jewish chaplain to the Royal Australian Navy.

Previously serving as a chaplain in the United States Navy Reserve for thirteen years, Rabbi Kaiserblueth was ordained in 2010 from the Jewish Theological Seminary of America and has since dedicated his rabbinical career to making Jewish tradition relevant and accessible to those he teaches.

Rabbi Kaiserblueth was rabbi at St Albans Masorti Synagogue in the UK before moving to Sydney with his wife, Rachel, and three sons in 2016 to join the clergy at Emanuel Synagogue.
