Funds raised for education
Courage to Care NSW raised almost $100,000 at a successful fundraising gala, which was a lunch held at the QVB Tea Rooms earlier this month.
COURAGE to Care NSW raised almost $100,000 at a successful fundraising gala, which was a lunch held at the QVB Tea Rooms earlier this month.
The sell-out event, with guest speakers Dr Simon Longstaff AO, executive director of the Ethics Centre, and acclaimed author Heather Morris (The Tattooist of Auschwitz, Cilka’s Journey, Three Sisters) drew an impressive crowd.
Among those who attended were Peter and Yvonne Halas, Andrew and Taryn Boyarsky, Ernie Friedlander OAM, Antony and Andy Halas, Richard and Naomi Balkin, Tom and Danielle Curtis, Tom Fleming, Professor Leo Radom AC and NSW B’nai B’rith president Janine Zimbler.
The money raised will be used to support Courage to Care’s education and exhibition programs. The organisation’s purpose is to educate Australians about prejudice, racism and discrimination.
