Future LEAD trio set for Maccabiah

MACCABI Australia’s new Future LEAD development program will have an initial intake of up to 15 young Jewish adults from across Australia – and three of them were selected to join the Australian Maccabiah Games delegation in Israel next month, as volunteers.

Hannah Levin, Hugo Bursin and Brandon Glasser, all from Melbourne, will gain invaluable experience in shadow managerial roles during the Games, when they will be helping team management out with anything required.

The trio (pictured from left to right, between the head of the Australian delegation Barry Smorgon and Maccabi Australia president Jeff Sher) were welcomed at an Australian Maccabiah managers’ and coaches’ conference held late last month in Healesville, Victoria, attended by 85 volunteers.

They will each be based in the three main Maccabiah Games host cities – Jerusalem, Netanya and Haifa.
