Noa Haskin has been named the recipient of B’nai B’rith Victoria’s 2026 Combatting Antisemitism Grant, which supports work to combat antisemitism and counter disinformation about Israel and the Jewish community.

Haskin will receive $4800 towards her participation in the World Union of Jewish Students (WUJS) Social Media Training Fellowship, run in partnership with TalkIsrael, and the WUJS Annual Congress in Israel.

The fellowship brings together Jewish student leaders from more than 40 countries to develop skills in strategic communications, digital advocacy and leadership, as well as in responding to antisemitism in increasingly complex online and campus environments.

B’nai B’rith Victoria said Haskin’s work aligned with the objectives of its antisemitism grant program, and that the skills she gains through the fellowship are intended to be applied directly within the Victorian Jewish community.

According to the organisation, the aim is to strengthen student advocacy, improve digital engagement and better equip young Jewish leaders to respond to antisemitism.

The grant is funded through the B’nai B’rith Future Fund, together with surplus funds raised at community events, including the B’nai B’rith Human Rights Oration.

“This generous grant will help me sustain and expand my work, with practical tools to respond more effectively to antisemitism affecting Jewish students in Victoria,” Haskin said. “Upon returning to Australia, I will apply these skills within the Victorian Jewish community by supporting student advocacy initiatives, sharing knowledge with fellow student leaders, and strengthening digital engagement that promotes accurate information, resilience and constructive responses to antisemitism.”

B’nai B’rith Victoria president Professor Andrew Markus said, “We are proud to support Noa and the important work she is undertaking … Her passion, innovation and determination reflect the leadership and community activism that is needed to respond to antisemitism today.”
