Interfaith O-Week

Harmony on campus

Jews, Catholics, Muslims Together

JEWISH, Catholic and Muslim students posed together in a show of harmony during O-week at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) last week.

“The stalls for the Jewish, Catholic and Muslim groups are all next to each other so we took a group photo with student leaders and chaplains from the three faiths,” Jewish chaplain Rabbi Eli Feldman (pictured right with Rebbetzin Elka Feldman) said.

“If only this spirit of friendship was proliferated throughout the world.”

The Australasian Union of Jewish Students (AUJS) provides a range of opportunities for Jewish students to get involved in campus life, meet new people and gain new skills, in addition to providing support when needed.
