A happy, healthy family is associated with leading a good, fulfilling life, and having a regular family doctor that understands your health priorities and knows you well can help to support wellbeing and quality of life.

The Emeline is a family medical clinic focused on providing a diverse range of health services to the community, including family doctors, child and adult psychologists, a geriatrician, gastroenterology, cosmetic medicine, podiatry, and dietetics, with a focus on family health.

“We’re proud to have a strong team with a diverse skillset who focus on being guided by evidence and clinical experience, to offer treatment options that are consistent with our patients’ health goals,” GP Dr Daniel Lichtblau says.

The Emeline prides itself on providing personalised care – for the whole family.

The family-friendly practice includes a dedicated children’s waiting/play area, baby change station, and a diversity of services including GPs with special interests in children’s health, women’s health and fertility, and child and adolescent psychologists on site.

“It can make a huge difference to health outcomes when our patients feel comfortable about seeing the doctor and view it as a rewarding and positive experience, because it often means issues are assessed earlier allowing for treatment to occur in a timely way.”

As part of its services, The Emeline hosts GPs who are very comfortable managing men’s health issues and complex elderly patients with chronic disease, as well as a geriatrician who conducts assessments at the practice and at nursing homes, and nursing staff who support chronic disease management and vaccinations.

“We also try to incorporate opportunistic care into our practice, whether it’s helping to ensure vaccinations are up to date or screening for undiagnosed chronic disease or lifestyle factors we can help patients with”, says Dr Lichtblau.

“We want to provide personalised care, get to know our patients and their care needs well, so that we can keep them safe and healthy and focus on the ‘whole person’ and their overall health needs and priorities, rather than to provide fragmented care focused on treating isolated medical conditions.”

To support access to care, The Emeline is open every day of the year, has on-site pathology collection for blood tests, and offers discounted fees for children under 16 and concession card holders and no out-of-pocket fees for those with a Commonwealth pension/concession entitlement aged over 65.

“We love what we do, and are committed to helping our patients stay healthy so that they can keep on doing what they love most in life.”
