Deputy principal of Masada College Ryan Gill (pictured) has been chosen for the Most Influential Educators List by The Educator Australia. The Educators recognise inspirational leaders and changemakers who have made an impact on their students and school communities.

“Join us in congratulating Mr Gill for this well-deserved selection on this most impressive list of educators,” said Masada on their socials.

“The college is incredibly proud of Mr Gill’s achievement, and we thank him for his long-term dedication and passion for education excellence at Masada College.”

The winners draw on a variety of strategies, earning them recognition within the industry. Industry expert Kirsti Hitz-Morton, senior education consultant at Hutton Consulting Australia, said the qualities required to be an Influential Educator include innovation, remaining abreast of current research and best practice, being adaptable, systemic and relational. “We don’t just need them to have a high IQ; we need them to have emotional intelligence,” said Hitz-Morton.

“If we’re not finding the right leaders for the right school, then the impact on the students and the community is enormous. We underestimate the positive impact that good leaders can have.”
