A NUMBER of different faith leaders came together to meet with NSW Labor Leader Chris Minns to discuss issues related to their respective communities.

Darren Bark, NSW Jewish Board of Deputies CEO, was joined by leaders from the Christian, Islamic, Buddhist and Hindu communities, where some of the concerns raised included religious discrimination, flood recovery efforts, zoning for places of worship, as well as outlining the collaborative work between the Jewish and Hindu communities to ban the public display of Nazi symbols.

Bark said it was pleasing to see so many faith leaders unite and he thanked Minns for making the time to sit down with them.

“When communities work together, we can achieve great outcomes, and we had a productive dialogue on so many vital issues,” he said.

“We are grateful to the Hon Chris Minns MP and the NSW Labor Party for listening to our collective concerns and ensuring community voices are heard and represented.
