MORIAH College’s Jesse Lipschitz shaved his head for the ninth year in a row for the World’s Greatest Shave.

Jesse, who is in Year 12, has been fundraising for the Leukemia Foundation for the better part of 10 years, since his dad Garron was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphona.

Jesse and his dad, Garron, who has battled blood cancer.

Over this period he estimates he raised around 50k for the Foundation,

The World’s Greatest Shave is one of Australia’s most well-loved fundraising campaigns.

For 24 years, brave Aussies have selflessly raised money to shave, colour or cut their hair – making it their mission to beat blood cancer.

This year, with it being Jesse’s final year of shaving at school, the shave was linked to Purim and the mitzvah of giving tzedakah.
