Jewish schools unite for music and tzedakah
The event will see students from Scopus, Bialik College, The King David School and Leibler Yavneh College compete for musical glory.
Four Jewish schools will come together for the biggest Battle of the Bands since it launched last year.
Hosted by Mount Scopus Memorial College on September 1 at 7.30pm, the event will see students from Scopus, Bialik College, The King David School and Leibler Yavneh College compete for musical glory.
“It builds on the success of last year’s inaugural event and reflects the incredible ruach and unity within our youth and community,” said Mount Scopus’ director of co-curricular performing arts Gideon Szental.
Like last year, all proceeds from the night will go to the life-saving work of Magen David Adom.
“It’s about more than just music, it’s a night where talent meets tzedakah, and where friendly competition strengthens communal ties,” Szental said.
Bands will compete in three categories: rock, Israeli music and iconic movie songs, with the judges deciding on the winners of each division, and of Most Entertaining Performer, Best Instrumentalist and Best Vocal Performance.
“It’s incredibly special to see schools come together and connect through the universal language of music,” said Scopus performing arts captains Rosa Pastor and Judah Braunstein.
The community is invited to enjoy a night of unity, live music and talented students, all while contributing to a vital cause.
