AFTER a hiatus of more than six years, Jon Stewart is back.

The Jewish comedian and presenter, who manned the desk at The Daily Show from 1999 to 2015, has a new show, The Problem With Jon Stewart, streaming on Apple TV+.

The highly-anticipated new current affairs series takes “a deep dive on the issues affecting us most”, according to Apple TV press.

It features Stewart in discussion with people who are impacted by the issue – as well as those who have a hand in creating the impact. Together, they discuss tangible steps that can lead to a solution and a path forward.

“It’s the same things that animated The Daily Show, we’re just adjusting the dials slightly. If The Daily Show was the weather report, I thought maybe it’d be interesting to do something that was [about] the climate,” Stewart told the Hollywood Reporter.

The Apple Original series will also feature a companion podcast that will extend the conversation from each episode, featuring staff members from across the show who will bring interviews with activists in the space, facts on the issue and plenty of jokes.

The 58-year-old Stewart has frequently referenced Judaism throughout his comedy career, including before, during and after his time on The Daily Show.

Odds are he will be cracking Jewish jokes again on his new show.
