Labor to boost bowls club

'Local sporting clubs are the centre of local communities.'

A re-elected Labor government has pledged to invest up to $600,000 towards upgrades at Caulfield Park Alma Bowls Club.

Labor candidate for Caulfield Lior Harel made the announcement last Saturday morning at the club.

“Local sporting clubs are the centre of local communities, we’re investing in upgrades and improvements so more local kids can stay active and get engaged,” said Harel.

Labor has pledged to invest more than $1.6 billion to upgrade recreation reserves and sports grounds, including improvements such as better playing surfaces, new scoreboards and lighting upgrades.

Harel told The AJN, “A re-elected Andrews Labor government will back local sport and local sports grounds.”
