Larry David’s important role in Succession twist
... applause for Pritchett sharing this information with the world, giving the Jewish community its only claim to Succession since Josh Aaronson (Adrien Brody)'s massive mezuzah.
Welp, folks, it finally happened. Everyone’s favourite media magnate and bad dad, Logan Roy, died in Succession. May his memory be a blessing, I guess?
Wisely, Succession writers, producers and actors anticipated that Logan’s death would become one of the biggest TV plot points this season and took on the herculean task of preventing it from being leaked. Even actor Brian Cox, Logan Roy himself, admitted in a recent interview that it was difficult keeping the death a secret.
Succession writer Georgia Pritchett took to Twitter to reveal the hilarious way the writers’ room hid Logan’s death.
“So, nobody found out we used code on the whiteboards. Larry David meant Logan Dies. So episode 403 said Connor’s Wedding, Larry David,” Pritchett wrote, adding, “Mind you, that would also have been a great episode.”
Round of applause for Pritchett sharing this information with the world, giving the Jewish community its only claim to Succession since Josh Aaronson (Adrien Brody)’s massive mezuzah. The use of Larry David’s name as code to cover Logan’s death is, as David would say, pretty, pretty, pretty good.Hey Alma!
