Maccabi impress at Vic relay championships

The Victorian Club Relay Championships were held on Australia Day at Lakeside, where Maccabi’s U18 women’s medley team achieved a top five placing.

The team consisted of Danielle Axarlis (200m), Abby Gordon (200m), Skye Edelstein (400m) and Emma de Jong (800m), who all ran brilliantly.

Together, they came 5th out of 11 teams, clocking, 4 minutes and 22.13 seconds.

And in the women’s open invitational 800m race, held in conjunction with the Zatopek meet – also on January 26 – Maccabi’s Shanie Landen posted an outstanding season-best time of 2:07.46 to come fifth.
