ON Wednesday night, five of the finalists in The AJN Rosh Hashanah card competition, run in conjunction with the Sydney Jewish Museum, were presented with certificates.
The award ceremony, hosted at the museum, saw five finalists — Chanie Gershowitz, Daniel Foxman, Adena Sheps, Jordan Weizman and Jenna Benson — accept their awards in the presence of mums, dads, grandparents and siblings.
“It was wonderful to see so many budding artists,” deputy editor Naomi Levin said. “I hope we see their names on the arts pages of The AJN in years to come.”
The certificates were presented by Levin and museum chief executive Norman Seligman.
Other finalists — David Nailand, Yossi Schwartz, Ayelet Blackman, Becci Lazarus and Faigy Blasenstein — were unable to attend the ceremony, but had their Rosh Hashanah artworks displayed at the museum as well.
