Simmons' sex confession

Might you have Gene’s genes?

KISS bassist tells Sunrise he “may have a few children running around” in Australia

Could this be your dad?

Sure, genetic testing service 23andme might be able to tell you all kinds of depressing things about your future health risks, but what if it could do something useful, like tell you if Gene Simmons is your dad?

According to Simmons, there’s a chance you’re mishpocha. The 72-year-old bassist and co-lead singer for KISS told Sunrise last week that he is not only “a big fan of Australia” but also “may have a few children running around in your country, you never know”.

In 2016 Simmons, born in Israel as Chaim Witz, told Britain’s The Sun that he had had sex with around 4800 women, though most of the evidence was in the form of a collection of Polaroids, which he burned with his wife as a ritual together.

The Beth Din ketubah register it was not, so unfortunately you’ll have to do your own research.

KISS are slated to brave the pandemic and play across Australia this March. So if you are a fan of their music, or if you just think that Simmons owes you (or your child, or grandchild) a bar or bat-mitzvah present for more personal reasons, go ahead and mark your calendars.
