A NEW film with never-seen-before footage is being produced about the pro-Hamas demonstration outside the Sydney Opera House last October.

In a night that will live in infamy, an unruly mob descended on the world-famous landmark just two days after the October 7 Hamas massacre and burnt flags, lit flares and chanted violent slogans.

Footage shared online by the Australian Jewish Association (AJA) seemed to show chants of “gas the Jews” and several witnesses signed statutory declarations saying they heard it, however NSW Police announced earlier this month that an expert had concluded the crowd was chanting “where’s the Jews”. The AJA said on Tuesday they were not contacted as part of the police investigation.

“These were Mujahideen on the streets of Sydney,” Jewish Sydneysider Daniel Lewkovitz, who is producing the documentary Where’s the Jews? told Sky News Outsiders on Sunday.

“We’ve got footage that’s film quality and it’s going to be making a lot of people nervous.”

A two-minute sample of harrowing high-resolution footage has already been released.

One chant in the footage is “Khaybar Khaybar ya yahud, jaish Muhammad soufa ya’oud”(“Khaybar Khaybar oh Jews, the army of Muhammad will return”), a reference to a 16th century massacre of Jews.

“In Europe, if you go to a protest and you make that chant, you’ll be thrown in the back of a paddy wagon,” Lewkovitz said.

“These were Islamist calls for violence against Jews. This was about praising Hamas, and the police stood there and they did nothing.”

Asked if the footage was provided to police, he said, “NSW Police have been offered a lot of footage and they essentially weren’t interested.

“There are plenty of cameras out there that showed exactly what was said, exactly what was done. And if the police didn’t go and get that footage, it’s because they didn’t want to know and that’s a problem.”
