Off to Israel

MEZUZAHS were presented to 26 olim at the Zionist Council of Victoria’s 72nd annual assembly earlier this month.

Families, young couples and singles from religious and secular backgrounds were among the latest group of Australians bound for the Jewish homeland, taking the annual total to a 30-year record breaking 250.

The group was officially farewelled by the community in front of a 300-strong audience, with the mezuzah presentation signifying the Zionist organisations’ blessings for success and happiness in their new homes.
