NSW TREASURER Eric Roozendaal visited Masada College last Wednesday.

The Treasurer discussed his ascent into politics and his glory days at Macquarie University, where he led a campaign as a student politician to throw right-wing extremist group, First Action, off campus.

He also spoke about the intricacies of his job and what it takes to make the tough decisions.

The year 11 students — currently completing an ethics and issues course — also got to quiz the treasurer about P-Plate driving laws, the budget process and political matters.

“They were inspired by his story about how he got to where he got to,” Masada College principal Wendy Barel said. “It serves an inspiration about where they can get to in their own lives.”
