Shooting at Chabad in America

ONE person has been killed in a shooting at an American Synagogue this morning at 4.30am (AEST).

Steve Vaus, the mayor of Poway, said there has been “one fatality” at a shooting at the Chabad of Poway near San Diego.

“The shooter is someone with hate in their heart,” the mayor said.

Several other people have been taken to hospital and the shooter has been detained.

According to local media, more than 10 shots were heard when the shooting took place at 11.30am local time.

The attack took place exactly six months after 11 people were murdered at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh.
