Terror attacks continue for second day

Another day of violence has rocked Israel.

While Australians slept overnight Israelis faced a second day of terror attacks across the country.

The attacks started when a Palestinian terrorist  stabbed an 25-year-old Israeli man on Bar Lev Street in Jerusalem and wounded him.

In Tel Aviv a 19-year-old terrorist from East Jerusalem stabbed four people and snatched a soldier’s weapon before he was shot and killed by Israel Airforce officer Sec.-Lt. Daniel. “I saw a terrorist stab a soldier,” Sec.-Lt. Daniel said. “We realised that it was a stabbing attack becuase of the recent events that have been happening in the country. I got out of the car, ran toward him and neutralized him from close range. I think I was in the right place at the right time. And I did what is expected of every fighter in the Air Force and the IDF.”

Soon after another Palestinian terrorist stabbed and seriously injured an Israeli man in Kiryat Arba, which is near Hebron. The injured man was taken to hospital suffering from stab wounds to his upper body.

In the fourth terror attack of the day two people were stabbed in Afula. After the attack civilians pinned the terrorist, who spoke Arabic, to the ground until police could arrive.

Later in the afternoon a 17-year-old boy was lightly wounded near Kiryat Arba after rocks were thrown at him. Paramedics provided medical treatment at the scene before taking him to hospital.

Israel’s prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the country and said that Islamic extremists have now landed at Israel’s doorstep. He also said that, despite calls from settlers, that he will not approve the buildings of more settlements because it will harm Israel’s international support for the tough stance it is taking against terrorism.
