The Joint lights up schools
While The Joint Australia (TJA) usually serves as the light in the dark corners of the world, this Chanukah TJA is lighting up the Jewish community.
The Joint has spread the Chanukah spirit again this year, providing Jewish day schools with boxes of Chanukah candles to distribute to students.
Candles were delivered to Gandel Besen House, Leibler Yavneh College, Bialik College, United Jewish Education Board, The King David School and Emmanuel College in NSW.
The Joint has been saving Jewish lives and building Jewish life for 107 years, including during the world wars. The organisation brought 25,000 Nazi survivors to Australia, rescued 12,000 Ethiopian Jews and today serves more than a million Jews worldwide in need of assistance.
While it is usually the light in the dark corners of the world, this Chanukah The Joint is lighting up the Jewish community.
The Joint is asking – with parents’ permission – that students tag
@thejointaustralia and #welighttheway and upload photos on social media during Chanukah.
