The show must go on
COVID can't stop Streamed Shakespeare from putting on an excellent show.
This Sunday, catch Holly Champion’s brand new, funny and postmodern adaptation of Shaw’s classic, Pygmalion, as a one-time-only staged reading by Streamed Shakespeare.
With an innovative use of digital resources, and using local talent and good old Aussie know-how, Streamed Shakespeare is taking the George Bernard Shaw play that inspired My Fair Lady online.
Well-known Sydney actor Geoff Sirmai will be playing Professor Henry Higgins, the quintessential urbane British academic.
Sirmai will be joined by Tony Sloman, as Colonel Pickering, and together with their student Eliza Doolittle, they’ll go on a whirlwind journey from the grimy streets of Covent Garden to the professor’s language laboratory to the pinnacle of British high society … and back again!
Watch the staged reading of Pygmalion on Sunday, August 15 from 2pm. To book: youtu.be/ANoNslGt9Os
