Rabbi loses tenure appeal
FEARS that Sydney's South Head Synagogue may have to sell its shule have been allayed after the NSW Court of Appeal ruled that Rabbi Benzion Milecki's contract with the synagogue, as a company, did not include the Jewish legal principle of hazakah, life tenure.

Beth Din appeals contempt ruling
THE rabbis of the Sydney Beth Din (SBD) have appealed a December Supreme Court ruling which found them in contempt of court and the associated penalty of $50,000 in fines plus court costs, expected to be more than $250,000, handed down last week.

Court rules Feldmans out of Flood Street
A NSW Supreme Court judge has found "there is no factor which establishes a legitimate basis" for members of the Feldman family to remain at Yeshiva's property in Flood Street after their lease ended on Tuesday, earlier this week.

Judge finds for Triguboff
HARRY Triguboff had a huge win in the NSW Supreme Court this week when Justice Rowan Darke ruled that members of the Feldman family did not establish their "rights of possession or occupation" to Triguboff's property on Flood Street.

South Head to close at midday on Friday

Feldman tax case adjourned again
